"Stylish and Comfortable"

Villa Seburga is a stylish and comfortable home-away-from-home in the South of France. It's a great base from which to explore the delightful village of Saint Paul De Vence, but most of your stay here should be spent unwinding by the villa's fabulous (and heated!) swimming pool with a good book and soaking up the panoramic views. Highly recommended for a quiet and relaxing trip with your nearest and dearest.

Have returned to Villa Seburga for five consecutive years and always have the most wonderful time here. The villa is stunningly beautiful and the setting is unmatched. The infinity pool and the views across to the sea are incredible. Great location - very peaceful, but close to St Paul de Vence. Always leave feeling very relaxed and refreshed. Cannot recommend highly enough!

"Very memorable and enjoyable"

We recently enjoyed a very memorable and enjoyable stay at Villa Seburga. Hosts Michael and Denise were superb. This luxurious property was comfortable, well presented and very clean. The views from the property are exceptional and the horizon swimming pool is everybody's dream. The location provides good access to St Paul de Vence and to the surrounding region and thus is a great location to base yourself and to see the local features.

“Fabulous hosts and a pool to die for”

Who would have guessed you could have daily swims in April? This fabulous pool really was the star of our long stay with Michael and Denise, who attended assiduously to our every need and were great fun. The apartment is well equipped and immaculately clean. The village is a comfortable walk away, and there's an excellent e Leclerc grocery that's a short drive. (You will need a car if you intend to go anywhere once you've arrived. Get a small non-electric one.) We've already booked our next stay.

"A Very Special Place"

As you enter the drive towards Villa Seburga past the flowering geraniums and approach the Cote d'Azur pink stonework of the villa, a vista opens up which makes one gasp. This is a very special place to unwind and relax and feel totally spoilt. It is private and secluded yet easily accessible to the medieval village of St Paul de Vence. Everything about the villa spells luxury and being pampered. The attention to detail provided by Denise & Michael creates a unique quality of hospitality which is much more than the 5 stars in this review!

"5 star experience"

An all-round 5 star experience at the villa. Michael and Denise are superb - they accommodated our last minute booking and early check in, provided great tips on the where-to-go in the area, and were always around when we needed something. The villa itself is true to the images - spectacular views and convenient location. The rooms are very clean with all appliances in good condition. The heated pool is just unbeatable. We highly recommend this place - in fact have already done so to our friends. We enjoyed the villa thoroughly - hope you will too.

"Luxurious pool apartment with heated infinity pool, terrace and stunning Med views"

This property is a slice of heaven with the most beautiful, pristine heated infinity pool, a lovely terrace overlooking the valley across to the Mediterranean, and spacious accommodation. It's just a few minutes from the medieval hilltop village of St Paul-de-Vence and the Fondation Maeght modern art collection as well as the beautiful Matisse Rosary Chapel at Vence, and is an easy drive from the coast itself and destinations such as Monaco, Nice and Antibes. Michael and Denise are gracious and kind hosts who are on hand if needed (Denise kindly found us a pharmacy for our return-to-UK Covid tests) but the apartment feels private, safe and very comfortable, with modern bathrooms and lovely toiletries. The pool is the star attraction, always lovely to swim in even in late evening, and with a slide, diving board and floating loungers if wanted. The terrace and pool are lit at night and the calm, luxurious atmosphere makes it almost impossible to leave despite its proximity to some lovely places to visit!

"A luxurious spot with the most beautiful heated pool and views to the Mediterranean"

The pool and its view absolutely makes this property. It is absolutely spotless, heated to a perfect 30 degrees and is an infinity pool which adds to the luxurious feel. There is a diving board and a fun water slide, and there are foam pool loungers available too. The terrace is also beautiful with plenty of sunbeds and seating, and a table for meals. Inside the property is spacious with some interesting antiques and the bedrooms are air conditioned, which is lovely even though there is plenty of shade on hot days anyway. Michael and Denise are gracious hosts and ready to help if needed (Denise found a pharmacy for us to have our return-to-UK Covid tests) but the property feels private and the car can be parked right next to the villa for ease of carrying luggage and supermarket shopping etc. All in all Villa Seburga feels like a slice of paradise, peaceful and calm, and difficult to tear yourself away from despite the easy proximity of the coast, Monaco, Nice, Antibes and other beautiful places to visit. The Matisse Rosary Chapel is in Vence just a few minutes away, and the Fondation Maeght (amazing collection of modern art) just up the hill is well worth a visit, as is the lovely medieval hilltop village of St Paul-de-Vence.

Words fall short to paint a suitable picture of this delightful place. A most luxurious apartment in an extremely desirable location on the French Riviera. "Wonderful"

Just got back from a fabulous stay at this villa. We were the first guests post corona shutdown and I was worried we were not going to be able to fly but Michael was great and reassuring that we would have a full refund if that happened. Really good contact throughout. The pool is just stunning and we spent many hours enjoying the water, especially as we filled it up with inflatables! The villa is clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. Air conditioning meant for a great nights sleep. Very hospitable hosts and all in all a lovely place to relax in. Big supermarket only 15mins drive away so we could stock up easily. We would stay here again.

We were very happy with everything in Michael’s beautifull villa. Beds and bedclothes were really comfortable, kitchen was well equipped. Michael and Denise were very nice and helpfull. Location is good to explore French Riviera. I would recommend to have a car to make that much easier. The most important thing for us (with two kids) were the warm pool with nice view. The pool was big, clean and really warm. On our six day stay on October temperature of the pool was 28-30 Celsius! Day and night, such an pleasure. Michael and Denise, you have a amazing place, thank you very much to share it with others too.

We had an amazing experience staying over at Michael and Denise's place. The place is sparkling clean, amenities top notch, and the view from the infinity pool beautiful. We have just returned from a few days at the luxury pool apartment. The heated pool with the view is amazing. The house is well equipped and we dined at the apartment in the evening as we didn’t want to leave. The host lives upstairs and was very helpful, collecting us from the bottom of the hill with shopping bags! We used Uber taxis to travel into Nice and to the airport which worked well.

"Wonderful villa, beautiful pool and perfect location!"

We have just returned from a wonderful week staying at Villa Seburga. We had a lovely warm welcome from Michael and Denise and the attention to detail in the property was faultless with soap, shower gels, coffee pods and more provided, made even better with comfy beds, air conditioning and immaculate presentation. We loved the character of the property and it's suberb layout. The fantastic infinity pool lent itself to some lovely memories sitting on the terrace for a meal or drink and then dipping into the gorgeous water and looking out at the amazing views. We also had fun on the slide and diving board and relaxation floating on the comfy pool loungers. Villa Seburga is ideally placed to visit places such as Nice, taking the bus from the end of the road worked perfectly as well as being only 15 minutes drive from the airport! We also visited Monaco, Antibes, St.Tropez and Port Grimaud but one of the highlights was the short walk to the magical village of St.Paul de Vence for a drink and a meal. We have enjoyed one of our best holidays yet and will definitely be back!!

"Villa Seburga encompasses everything you dream about for a vacation on the Cote d'Azur"

We were met by Michael & his wife who gave us a full tour of Villa Seburga. We unpacked and got to soak in the beauty of the place.

From the moment we stepped in, we could tell that much love and care had been put into their home, down to the smallest of details.

The location, absolutely perfect - next to one of the most beautiful hill towns in Southern France: Saint Paul de Vence. Lovely place to explore and have an al fresco dinner. Don't miss Restaurant Le Tilleul and La Colombe d'Or. But also don't miss the chance of cooking your own dinner and eating al fresco at the villa. The view of the pool area, city and the azure sea in the distance all add to the dining experience!

Villa Seburga is located in a perfect spot - away from the hustle and bustle of Nice, Cannes and Monte Carlo and yet easily accessible to these locations (truly). A supermarket, boulangerie and great shopping mall are all a short drive down the hill.

We took the opportunity to see as much as we could see, and as many places as we could see - yes, I need a vacation from my vacation! During France's heatwave, we were happy to return to the villa which had air conditioning in the main living area and all of the bedrooms. We also made good use of the gorgeous swimming pool, thus visited Claude often :))

Reluctantly, we had to leave Villa Seburga and continue our journey to Provence. Without a doubt, we would like to return - but next time at a more leisurely pace! Depending on your itinerary for visiting the French Riviera, as there are so many places to see (we didn't even make it to Italy), I would urge you to consider 2 weeks at Michael & Denise's villa. You won't regret it!!

"The pool is really heated!"

Many pools in the south of France 'suggest' they are heated. However, Michael's pool - which is huge - actually is heated! In fact when we arrived the pools temp was 29C (86F)! After unpacking we took an early evening swim followed by an early morning swim...You get the idea ....Like the picture suggests the views here are amazing. We had the downstairs apartment which was perfect. Two sets of French doors lead you to the pool, there are retractable awnings to shade you while having breakfast. The master bedroom is very large with a king size bed and and a queen size bed which is great for unpacking or sitting on etc . There's a second bedroom and a breakfast /TV room . The kitchen was spotless with a view over the pool. A/C worked well (very important from mid June until end of August). Also there are 2 bathrooms (very handy). All in all highly recommended.

“Perfect villa, lovely hosts and amazing view"

Wow, this villa is just perfect in every way! It’s beautiful, peaceful, clean and is very close to St Paul de Vence which is gorgeous. The hosts were so lovely to us, always ensuring we had everything we needed. The whole week felt so luxurious and comfortable, and the pool was devine! We will almost definitely be returning here as we had a fantastic week, and our hosts were so friendly and kind. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we felt so relaxed and cared for! "In a word - spectacular"

Where does one even begin in describing what a wonderful home Michael and Denise have? In a word - spectacular! We have stayed in approximately 40 Airbnb and VRBO homes over the years and few have even come close to the level of excellence we experienced. The house is beautiful inside and out and no detail has been overlooked. The beds are very comfortable and the linens and towels are lovely. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare all your meals. The patio, gardens and pool are tranquil and relaxing. As far as cleanliness, the home is absolutely spotless. The pictures are very true to the location but what they lack is the warmth and kindness you will be greeted with when you meet the hosts. We just can’t say enough about these two incredibly kind people who go out of their way to make their guests’ experience wonderful. We highly recommend.

The house of Denise and Michael is fantastic. Near to Saint-Paul-de-Vence, it is particularly well located (30 minutes to Nice or Grasse by car, 20 minutes walk to Saint-Paul, etc.) and offers such an amazing landscape ! Just imagine being in the pool with a view over the sea... For those who are willing to come when the weather is a little cold please note that when we were there the pool was 27 degrees (in April) :-) Also it goes without saying that we liked the hosts' hospitality. Of course public transportation does not look so efficient so having a private car seems mandatory. This is often like this in France... Highly recommending the place, definitely !

"The kids swam every day - in March & April!"

The outdoor living here was spectacular, with a gorgeous pool, view, and special light all day. The house has many luxurious touches, with original art, silk drapes, handmade “real” rugs, crisp sheets, and instantly hot water. The hosts were generous and exceptionally hospitable. You can live out your fantasy of having access to your wealthy aunt and uncle’s house in the South of France. The owners were upstairs and we found them affable and in good humor the entire week. We enjoyed having a car there, and we were given a remote for the electric gate at the end of the driveway. We would love to return.

"Stunning Villa St Paul de Vence"

Our family have just spent a wonderful weeks holiday at the beautiful Villa Seburga close to the ramparts of the lovely Historic town St Paul de Vence
The villa is in a stunning location with glorious views over the valley out towards the coastal resort of Cagnes sur Mer!
When we arrived by car we were met by the owners who kindly spent time showing us around and explaining everything we needed to know regards the villa during our stay.
Everything is thought of in this five star property for a memorable stay.
It has a stunning infinity pool with amazing views which we all enjoyed swimming in. It is heated and the temperature was perfect!
The villa is very spacious with plenty of space mid level and lower level for alfresco dining.
The bedrooms are spacious and are very comfortable bedrooms with very comfortable beds and quality bed linen. The bathrooms are up to date and luxurious!
Our family of eleven which span three generations all enjoyed our time spent at the villa and visiting the surrounding area.
What more can I say that without hesitation we all highly recommend Villa Seburga!
Hope to one day to return again!

We had simply the best week in Villa Seburga. The house, and of course the pool, were just perfect for us all with very happy children and lots of evenings spent admiring the beautiful view from your terrace. We swam every day and ate every meal outside so it couldn’t have been better. I’m afraid we have returned home to rain but are full of lovely memories from our glorious week together.

"Simply Amazing"

I could go on for hours about the stunning apartment , beautiful views, luxurious facilities, power shower in one bathroom and bath and shower in the other( l'occitane shampoos and shower gels and the fluffiest towels I have ever used) Fully equipped kitchen with quality appliances, fantastic location , the heated infinity pool with panoramic views is to absolutely die for, TV that picks up all the English channels ( hubby very happy watching his rugby) BBQ (gas and charcoal depending on your preference), the list I could go on about is endless as I keep thinking of something else as I type....but one of the best things about this place are the owners. From booking to leaving , Denise and Michael go out of their way to ensure you have a fantastic time, from assistance on best ways to hire cars to ensuring there is milk and something nice to drink in the fridge on arrival ( answering all my husbands emails and questions before we got there and believe me he can have a lot) every little thing we could think of needing was there.
I was very sad to leave but cant wait till we go back

Amazing place, Amazing people, we have already booked for next year and I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone - you wont be disappointed!

"Absolutely perfect place to spend your holiday"

This villa has to be seen to be believed. The view from the beautiful and heated infinity pool is spectacular, across the valley to the sea! We stayed in the pool apartment which has 2 large bedrooms and 2 luxury bathrooms which are very nice indeed along with kitchen and lounge/dining room and all the amenities you'd need. Can't fault this property, the owners go to great lengths to ensure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. As a location, it is also an ideal base to explore the gorgeous medieval town of Saint-Paul-de Vence with its numerous art galleries and restaurants as well as Nice, Cannes and Monaco etc We will definitely be returning here!

“Outstanding luxury villa - we will be back!”

Having spent hours researching appropriate villas in the South of France for our extended family of ten we plumped for Villa Seburga - we were not disappointed! Our experience started after contacting the owner Michael - he responded by return with a detailed plan and description of the villa, room by room, and was most patient in answering all our questions. The scene was set and, as August approached, our excitement levels began to rise!

After a great journey down to Saint Paul - some by car and others by air into Nice - we arrived at the villa around 5pm and were met by the lovely Marzenna and her English husband Jerry. The gardens, pool and house were immaculate and exceeded our expectations. There followed supper at La Terrasse sur Saint Paul, recommended to us by Michael, within walking distance of the villa - excellent food and our holiday had begun.

The villa is extremely well appointed; beautifully and tastefully furnished; and extremely well equipped - the bathroom essentials were a very nice touch, as was the bottle of champagne in the fridge and the bunch of roses. Air conditioned throughout it was a real sanctuary for the non sun worshippers and made sleeping at night easy. However, the highlight had to be the heated infinity pool and terrace area. The diving board was a huge hit and the children perfected their diving skills - the end of the holiday diving competition was fierce! We look forward to the new water slide when we return!

Day to day living was easy, with E.Leclerc and a patisserie within a short drive. For those wishing to go further afield, Monaco and Nice are great trips out.

As we left on the final morning our grandson Charlie said: "that was my perfect holiday" and from a very cool 11 year old boy, that is accolade indeed!

“Exquisite South of France Vacation”
We stayed at Villa Seburga from July 30-August 20, 2016.
It was two vacations in one! The first part was with our children and grandchildren and the second part was with good friends.
It was perfect for both groups. A sprawling, comfortable villa and roomy enough for all of us! 9-11 people all fit without any crowding.
The views were amazing from almost anywhere in the villa. We spent most of our time in and around the exquisite pool/pool area. There were comfortable lounges and floats and other pool toys for the children. Everyone adored the large infinity pool! Velvety warm water overlooking magnificent land and sea views.
We had breakfast, lunch and dinners in the villa and the fully equipped kitchens were a pleasure to cook in as well as the charcoal grill poolside. We shopped at a large nearby market and local farmers markets.
The bedrooms were large with en suite bathrooms and very comfortable beds.
Our master bedroom/bathroom was a true haven with dreamlike views. The weather was lovely but the air conditioning was great for the couple of humid nights we had.
We walked to Saint Paul de Vence many times which allowed us to eat all the fresh delicious cuisine the area offers. We drove to a number of surrounding towns for visits and beach days and excellent dinners! Oh, the boulangeries and patisseries! We loved the nearby Macht Foundation and Matisse Chapel. We enjoyed Vence, Saint Paul de Vence, Nice, Grasse, Monte Carlo, Cannes, Antibes, Villefranche and the list goes on. Great location from which to drive and train everywhere! And then we got to come home to our gorgeous, fun and easy living villa!
Our lovely, warm and hardworking housekeeper, Marzenna, kept things in tip top shape 2x a week and there was washer and dryer and racks to hang wet swimsuits. Beautiful spacious main floor living and dining room and large terraces for outdoor dining. Tons of movies to watch and many books to read. Everything anyone can need for a perfect stay.

The villa is well appointed and tastefully decorated. The residence of the garden on the ground level offers two large functional bedrooms with respective bathrooms, ideal for a family or a couple of friends who want to share a good time in a beautiful environment. The property offers spectacular views from the master bedroom and huge terrace with stunning infinity pool. It is the ideal place to relax, unwind and rest between excursions on the French Riviera, Monaco, St. Tropez as well as Aix, Grasse, Antibes, Cannes and Nice. In addition to close proximity to St-Paul-de-Vence, nearby there is also a splendid shopping mall (Polygon), excellent restaurants (for all budgets ...) and grocery stores (E. Leclerc). "Thank you!"
An enormous "thank you" is just not big enough to express how impressed we all were with your beautiful (comfortable, stylish, immaculately equipped and maintained) villa, your devoted attention to detail, your provision of aids for every need, and the wonderful Marzenna and her family team.
We had a sample of all weathers from rain (and even storms) to calm sunshine and intense heat, which was all great. We managed to bring the awnings in when it rained, though one sudden storm seemed to throw down buckets within seconds before we could react so I hope they're okay!
As an art-loving family the location couldn't have been better for us. We considered attempting to climb over the back wall to the Fondation (only joking) but instead drove round, and I fulfilled my ambition to visit the gallery.
The second kitchen was a blessing in catering for my highly allergic son whose food could be kept away from the others.
Of course we none of us wanted to leave to come home. Such a palace and such a haven. (And such a gorgeous part of the world).
I very much hope we'll be able to return one day if you would ever have us back…

"Outstanding"
Three generations of my family spent a glorious week in Villa Seburga. We all agreed it was the best holiday ever. The villa was luxurious and catered for everything we needed to make our holiday very special. Location was superb and the accommodation was perfect for 8 adults and 2 four year olds. We have spent many holidays in this area and did not feel the need to go travelling. It would have been hard to tear ourselves away from the superb infinity pool and numerous sunny terraces. It is going to be very hard to find our next holiday property after staying here. The bar has been set very high. We received the warmest of welcomes from Marzenna and Gerry and nothing was too much trouble for them. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough. It is just perfect.

"One of the Best Villas and Locations in the South of France"
We have just returned to UK after one week in Villa Seburga having taken the whole premises. We were 10 adult friends and had planned to breakfast on coffee and patisseries and eat out in the evenings. However, the villa is in such a stunning location and the pool is so inviting that we changed our eating plans and enjoyed salads and BBQs by the pool or on the mid-level terrace most lunch times and evenings.
This is a brilliantly planned and presented villa with stunning views over Cote D'Azure and out to Cap Antibes. In addition, every last little detail has been thought of from I-pod docking stations to orange squeezers and BBQ charcoal to Nespresso coffee pods! Well worth a visit although I am loath to recommend it since it might be booked up the next time we want to visit!
Michael, the owner, could not have been more helpful prior to booking. He sent a full description of the facilities, rooms, layout and other details of the local amenities so that it made our holiday planning and booking very easy. Also a big thank you to Marzenna and Jerry for looking after the villa during our stay and for the lovely welcome we got from Marzenna on arrival.

Thank you Denise and Michael for the use of your beautiful home. It was more than we hoped for...more than the pictures ever lead us to expect!

The amenities (from knowing we would not run out of toilet paper, dish soap, the water toys, towels, bedding, IPod speakers, and on and on) were so much more than we have ever had at any other rental. How clean everything was was a treat.

It was in the perfect place for our 3 generations to visit this wonderful area of France and have a quiet calm place to return to each day to relax.

Jacqui, the chef, cooked 6 dinners for us in the villa. Each meal was perfect!! All of what Jacqui made was perfectly cooked. Each meal had either a salad or vegetable or both.

Every one of us thought each meal was fantastic. We oohed and aahed over each dish. So 7 people liked each and every dish!!

Even though we ate more than we should because it was so good there were always left overs for use at breakfast (i.e potatoes) and/or lunch so each meal went for several meals.

We enjoyed talking with Jacqui. She was fun to be around. I think she would have stayed in the background but that was not what we wanted. She served and presented the meals in a pleasing manner.

It turned out that each meal averaged about 200 euros which included 7 hours of time (shopping, prep, cook, serve and clean) and the ingredients. The ingredients included yummy chicken, beautiful salmon, a beautiful braised beef, etc. This did not include the wine which we bought and found for very little compared to California wines. For our group, this was still less than we paid out at any restaurant.

And to be able to enjoy the great meals in your lovely house was more than worth it to all of us!!

We would definitely use her again and recommend her.

The private heated infinity–edge swimming pool is just superb, the view across the valley is remarkable and the gardens are beautiful. We had a lovely week here and were very sad to leave. It is our last day and I’ve had a sense of dread all day about leaving tomorrow morning. We’ve had such a lovely time and the last week the weather was just wonderful. We have spent most of our time around the pool area and in the pool and our 18 month old son just loved swimming (with floaties) and does so by himself now.

Michael and Denise were in residence upstairs, they were very helpful without being intrusive, we spent some fun times together. Denise was kind enough to drive me to her hairdresser.

To start at the beginning: prior to arriving at the villa the owner, MIchael, was exceptionally helpful, advising on how the guests could best be accommodated. For example, I took my 6 year old grandson and Michael gave useful suggestions on space / lay out of the rooms - how to best to fit in the child bed. I also had an unusual request as two of my children (adults, in their twenties) were leaving part way through week 2, to be replaced with some old friends of mine. He arranged for an extra change of bed linen and extra cleaning so the rooms were fresh. In the event, too, all four bedrooms were absolutely super, all en suite with lovely furnishings and fittings. The art work both in the house and round the pool (statues) was lovely. Everything, right down to the kitchen chinaware, was top quality. There was plenty of everything you might need, plates, glasses, and so forth. The fridge and dishwasher were efficient; there was plenty of cupboard space and storage space . We had access to a large walk in cupboard with useful items (e.g. Nespresso coffee pods!). The generosity was unparalleled in my experience - there was even a chilled bottle of champagne awaiting us on our arrival, All aspects of the organisation were efficient. The owner, Michael, emailed to ensure we had all necessary information (e.g. maps on how to get there; details about locks / keys). He told us about how we would be well looked after (Marzenna and Jerry being there to greet us on arrival; Marzenna cleaning on certain days; the gardener visiting; the weekly visit from the pool man). The place was kept scrupulously clean and nothing was too much trouble. However, aside from such practical details, the main thing for us all was the beauty of the villa and surroundings, the ambiance, the good feelings that were engendered. You have so many choices - you can have a tranquil time (two large terraces and in the heated pool) or you can chose to walk into the medieval village St Paul de Vence; or some days use the place as a base for easy travel to Nice or Cannes or other local towns. To note, Vence was only a 10 minute drive and also lovely. I have stayed in rented villas on many occasions, but I have to say this one beats them all. I highly recommend it; you will not be disappointed.

Villa Seburga is an extremely comfortable and well-appointed property. It is a luxurious home-from-home in a beautiful location. The property is designed to make the most of the spectacular views, and we certainly spent much of our time sitting on the terrace or by the lovely infinity pool. It is ideally placed for trips to the countryside (including the mountains) and the coast. St Paul de Vence is a charming little town, with plenty of good restaurants, and nearby Vence is also very interesting. We spent four very happy weeks in the villa (along with family and friends) and the entire experience more than met our expectations. The owners were extremely helpful, and the staff - the housekeeper who comes twice a week, the gardeners and the pool men - were all efficient, unobtrusive, helpful and pleasant. This is a really wonderful holiday home!

The view from the pool and terrace of the surrounding villages extending down to the Mediterranean was delightful and our week comprised of swimming, reading, relaxing and local sightseeing in Saint-Paul-De-Vence.
We chose to eat out once at a lovely restaurant called La Vieux Moulin. It was a birthday celebration and proved an excellent choice. Otherwise the Villa and grounds created a haven of pure relaxation that we were reluctant to leave.

We were so lucky to stay at the Pool Apartment - Villa Seburga from 14.06-13 to 24.06.13. Everything was just perfect. When we arrived we had a very warm welcome from the owners Michael and Denise Brocklehurst who know how to treat their guests in a very nice and discreet way. My husband, two toddlers, and our nanny are just back from our stay at Villa Seburga for 11 days. To say simply that we had a wonderful stay is an understatement. I promised the incredible owners that I would not delay to add another excellent review to Trip Advisor.
Our excellent experience with this rental property began as I was conducting my initial search. The owner, Michael, was very responsive and answered all of my questions quickly and thoroughly, as well as to my criteria for a property. We visit the region every other year or more and know the area well. We knew exactly where we wanted to stay so then it came down to amenities. However, I quickly also valued the communication with the owner because we had a negative experience last time we rented a house in the area (but that time through VRBO). It came down to between this property and another similar one. I liked that I wasn't dealing with a management company and I valued the other reviews. It feels a little crazy to pay a large deposit and ultimately in full for a property you have never seen in person, but I had a good feeling from my correspondence with Michael and we decided to book.
Between booking and our arrival a few months later, I corresponded with Michael a few times on some details. My husband wished to be able to watch French TV in the master bedroom. Not only did Michael promise to move the TV and receiver from one of the other rooms, but he sent a full list of the available channels and a photo of the TV now in the bedroom. WoW!! I also asked about the types of draperies in the secondary bedrooms, as we have two toddlers who nap and go to sleep while it is still light out. In addition to describing each bedroom in accurate detail, Michael helped connect me with a local company that rents and delivers baby items like cribs and highchairs. He was better than any concierge at a 5 star resort!
Michael and his wife, Denise, met us in person the day we arrived and gave us a tour of the property and amenities. We felt welcomed into someone's home, rather than just a cold arrival at an unfamiliar place. They even left us a bottle of champagne to enjoy! More than the champagne, however, I have to say what I appreciated most is that they left various household items for our use like hand soap, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, and most appreciated, Nespresso pods! This is nice especially when paying several thousand Euros a week to rent a property. The last time we rented a house, we arrived to find not even toilet paper. That was also a primary residence so it was obvious the owners had removed and stored everything before our arrival. It's not enjoyable to arrive especially after an international flight and have to go to the grocery store immediately to buy basic items in larger quantities than you will ever use during your stay, before you can do so much as use the toilet! Thank you, Michael and Denise, for this particular welcome!
The other highlight of Villa Seburga was the wonderful housekeeper, Marzenna. What a warm smile and helpful welcome we received from her! She was paid to come two days a week, but we also paid her separately to come an additional two days to help when we had some friends over for lunch. She was also nice enough to bring fresh bread each day that she came and even helped me get some flour one day from a neighbor for a recipe when I realized I had bought a bag of sugar. She was sweet with our children and was available to help with anything we might have questions about.
Michael was also in touch with us while we were there. Sometimes when something goes wrong, the way it is resolved says even more about service than if everything had been perfect. One day we realized that there was a large amount of shower water draining improperly from the garage. Marzenna contacted Michael, cleaned it up, and contacted a plumber. She met the plumber at the property, who we did not even have to meet. It turned out to be due to some previous renters who had abused the pipes and flushed large items. It was not a major inconvenience to us, but Marzenna and Michael were so nice about it and anyway resolved it quickly.
The property was very clean upon our arrival and Marzenna kept it that way during our stay. I never had to specifically ask her to clean anything, change bed linens, or towels. Marzenna even offered to put out the pool furniture cushions one day while we were out enjoying the pool.
We all slept so well and were so comfortable at Villa Seburga. The owners even have a thoroughly informative notebook with photos as well as user manuals preempting questions and proving a wealth of information.
I could say so much more, but this review is already too long! We were there with our nanny and 2 toddlers. It was a good fit for us because our children are well-mannered and accustomed to delicate items, but I wouldn't say the house is child-friendly for the average child because of all the stairs, the unfenced pool, and the nice furniture and art. Indeed, I would not recommend this property to just anyone. I think many people abuse a rental property as they do hotel rooms so I hope those people will stay elsewhere and leave Villa Seburga for those of us whom will appreciate its nice furnishings and overall beauty!

We arrived to a warm welcome from Marzenna and Jerry who look after the property. There was a lovely treat of champagne awaiting us in the Fridge, a perfect way to start the holiday.

We were looking for a private, peaceful, secure, luxurious family sized villa and this ticked all the boxes. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

This was our first time staying in the south of France and we were a little apprehensive how we were going to keep our three teenage children amused for two weeks. We need not have worried between the piano, table tennis, large swimming pool (and spring board!) iPod docking stations, TV and wifi we hardly had to leave the beautiful villa. In fact most evenings they wanted to stay in!

We made good use of the BBQ and there is a very good selection of kitchen equipment which made cooking there was a pleasure, especially when you eat alfresco on the terrace with the most wonderful views. The villa was kept clean by the lovely Marzenna, who is very discreet; you don’t notice she is there. Any queries we had were quickly answered and the villa owners are very pleasant and will go the extra mile to help.

Some tips

The villa is situated in a first-rate location with the main town about a ten minute walk away, with lots of lovely restaurants and I would advise booking. There is a supermarket about a ten minute drive away and a wonderful bakery! Nice was about 15 minutes, Monaco/Cannes 40 minutes.

You are provided with towels to use by the pool. The showers have great water pressure. There is a washing machine to use if you need one. There is a nespresso machine.

This holiday was one of the most stress free holidays we have had and we will return!

Infinity Pool to die for!

We decided to pamper ourselves by booking this very special luxury villa. We were not disappointed!

Everything we had hoped for was there - from the beautiful bathrooms with jacuzzi, the elegant dining areas to the convenience of a second kitchen at pool level. We ate al fresco on most days.

The highlight of our stay was the infinity pool. The pool was heated, which made it possible for us to swim in the evenings, watching the sunset over St Paul de Vence and the Mediterranean. This made up for the unseasonably low temperature in May.

This is a very special villa with many personal touches.

I think it is the first time I have really relaxed since (name withheld)'s accident 2 years ago. I pottered down to do the shopping and the girls cooked. Bliss.
